The Pathway of Care

The Network has developed a Pathway of Care in which Local Authorities, Health Boards and Voluntary Organisations can identify the services available to children with visual impairment in their area. Using this pathway allows the Hospital Eye Team who have identified that a child has a visual impairment to give information to the correct services, in the right area, so that support can be given to children as early as possible.

The aim of the pathway is to avoid delays in provision of support and improve partnership working.

Here is where you can find the agreed VINCYP_Pathway.

The VINCYP Standards and VINCYP Quality Indicators were created in October 2014 after a number of meetings and extensive discussions with all key stakeholders.  These documents were reviewed and updated in 2019.
